Uncle Rodney's time

I enjoyed watching Rodney with his first meeting of his little niece. He was very unsure of how to hold her so she wouldn't break, to just looking at her in amazement. I don't even remember how many times he said what a beautiful baby she is. Which is normally not what Rodney even notices.
I know he isn't ready for that big step in life, but I feel he is gaining more of an appreciation for the family life, and very excited for both Michael and Naomi.

Joy in Georgia

The middle of January Anthony and Chelsea moved to Valdosta, Georgia a couple miles off Moody Air force base. It was a challenge to get everything moved and live out of a suitcase for awhile, but the nice part was getting settled in there new home that they purchased. They seem to be really loving it there. The pictures they have sent show it as very comfortable. I'm excited they have a fenced yard for both Ethan and Jersey (the dog) to roam and play.
Since there move they have also ventured to the Florida coast to play on the beach. Ethan wasn't to sure about the vast amount of water, but the sand was amazingly fun to play in.
He also enjoys taking his toys for walks.
I am having a hard time as I realize on April 4th he will already be one year old. Boy how the time has flown by.

Grandma time

I know with living in another state that I will miss so very much of Savannah's life, other than the pictures that I'm sure will be sent regularly, or at least I hope. Therefore I am attempting to capture as much time as I can with Savannah as I did with Ethan the week I was able to visit New Mexico. I can never get enough kisses, squeezes, baby baths, diaper changes, or dressing in, and I take every oppurtunity to let her know how much grama loves her. She is already one week old, so I have one more week to enjoy, and I plan to make it worth while.

miracles

Every day miracles happen all around us. Some I don't recognize right away, and then there are others that are so amazing they bring you immediatly to your knees. I watched a miracle happen yesterday March 13th 2008 at 1:08pm when my baby delivered her baby into this world. Savannah Johari Owuor weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz., 20 3/4" long. I can't express enough what a wonderful thrill it was to be invited to be part of this event. Michael was such a great support and trooper through the entire event. I loved just watching him interact with Naomi during labor, then bond with Savannah. Of course I enjoyed capturing what I could with pictures, but left allot to be treasured memories. This has been along awaited event for them both that sometimes is hard to understand why, yet how grateful I am for the Lord's timing which I experience in my own life continually. A time to learn, grow, and prepare for that which is to come.

Gifts From Above

Wow, Here we grow again. I am so happy with all the blessings that seem to be bestowed upon me. Our Heavenly Father gives us little glimpses of what eternity is all about. If you didn't know yet, our daughter Naomi gave birth to a little girl, on the 13th day of March, and both our doing very well. Michael examplified a wonderful support during labor, and delivery. Lorna flew down a week before the delivery and help get things ready for little Savannah. As I reflect upon the recent event, it makes me appreciate the great Plan that Our Heavenly Father has for us.......
