Six Words That discribe Your Life

I heard a contest about writing your life's story in Six words or less, and heard of some pretty good stories, so I thought that I would try my life in six words or less.-------Learned alot. Trying to do better.----- I'm trying to be like Jesus.----- Okay son, Better husband and father.-----Learning to be there for you.

Let it Snow !

Last Saturday my day began at 6:00am when I went with the youth to Mt. Hood to play in the snow. However when we got there the snow was ice. Even though there was plenty of snow on the mountain, this past week they received rain, then it froze over to be very icy and dangerous. The kids ended up playing on the short hill which wasn't as bumpy or dangerous. The sun was so beautiful, which made the afternoon amazing, and softened the snow to slush. I was really hoping for a day like last year with the beautiful snow falling as well. I certainly can not complain however. Everyone had a great day playing and eating good food prepared by the two chefs in the ward, and only received a few minor cuts and scrapes.

Joanna's Temple

These past couple of months have been such wonderful times for JoAnna to help with participating with the Temple to be open in Rexburg. Though she doesn't have a recommend, she has been able to spend allot of time prior to the open house and dedication cleaning the inside, as well as a special tour throughout, and on the roof top for a closer look of the angel Moroni.
The dedication of the temple was postponed a week due to President Hinkley's death and service, which allowed her another week of helping set up chairs and prepare for the dedication. She has truly been blessed to enjoy the spirit of service. Now that the temple has been dedicated to the Lord's house, she has gone a couple times to do baptisms. One of which was shared with her lifetime friend Lindsey Robrect. I know this experience does not happen in everyone's life, but how grateful I am that she has taken advantage and enjoyed this once in a life time experience. Needless to say, she feels this is the temple she wants to someday go into when she gets married.

Sweethearts Dance

It is few and far between that I am able to get pictures of Rodney, or even know what he is up to. I nearly missed this opportunity as well. I arrived home just in time to see both Lauren Yeaman and Rodney all dressed up to go to the sweethearts dance in Gresham. They seemed to have a great time that evening, and I also thought they looked great!

welcoming Savannah

It was allot of fun having family & friends over to the house for a long distance baby shower that was in celebration and excitement of little Savannah's soon to be arrival. Though Naomi wasn't there personally, she was in poster to enjoy the event. Which everyone enjoyed being able to see her pregnant, and thought she looks great! What an exciting event! I know she has had a couple other showers in Austin from both Michael's work, and her work. All showing there great support also. Needless to say Savannah will be set with adorable clothing, bedding, and furniture. Now we all just need to be patient until her arrival in March.

Gage Corgatelli's arrival

I am so excited for PJ and Cole to finally be able to get a little one here on the 29th of January. Weighing in at
6 lbs. 15 oz. I'm not sure why so many have such difficulty with getting these special little spirits here to this earth. Maybe they are on the other side saying no way do I want to deal with all that. Who knows. Anyway we are thrilled for them both to welcome little Gage into there family, and I'm sure Sharon was there to send off this special delivery from the other side.

My Savior lives and loves us all !

My heart has been so full this past week with the passing of our dear Prophet President Gordon B. Hinkley. What an amazing man of God he was. I feel such a void by his passing, but also a tremendous excitement for him to once again be with his sweetheart and eternal companion.
Tony and I attended the funeral service today via satalite broadcast at the church. Along with many others that had a desire to feel once again of the tremendous strength of this dear man. What a great example of dedication, strength, endurance, hope, joy, and a love for all. He set the example that our dear Savior Jesus Christ has asked of each of us. It helped me reflect on my own life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and leader. How am I doing, or have I done thus far? I know I have a long way still to go, but I feel I am on the right track moving forward.
I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that wants me to succeed in life, as well as through the eternities, and also for a loving Savior that made it possible for me to be with my loved ones throughout Eternity if I continue to move forward in this life.
Tony and I have had our ups and downs over the past 33 years, yet continue to work on our love and dedication to one another as well as to our Savior. He has led us throughout our time together which I hope our children have felt and will treasure within there own relationships. That is the only way I feel that anyone can survive the challenges in this life.
Please know of my love for each of you both family and friends. As well as my desire to spend the eternities together. This is my prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
